Aska Adventure Outpost, located in close proximity to Above The Pines Cabin , is nestled high up on a mountain where you will be inspired by the splendor of the mountains of the Aska Adventure Area / Rich Mountain Wilderness area and the Toccoa River below. Located a short walk away from the Shallowford Bridge all your river activities are right there for your enjoyment. Rent a tube and jump right in for a recreational float down the River. If you have a canoe or kayak you can easily put in and take out in this area. Speaking of canoes and kayaks, Canoe and Kayak Ventures is located in the Toccoa Outpost at the Shallowford Bridge for your guided river adventures. If hiking is your passion, you are a mile away from the trails of the Benton-McKaye and the Appalachian Trail where you can see breathtaking waterfalls and beautiful Georgia Mountain scenery. For the mountain bike and motorcycle enthusiasts this is the cabin for you! The winding lanes of Aska Road is a motorcycler's paradise. For the fisherman you can enjoy fishing right outside the cabin on the Toccoa River. If the kids (and even adults) want to swim, climb large boulders, and enjoy a deep pool in the River, there is place to park the car off the side of the road and enjoy the beautiful waters of the Toccoa River less than a mile from the cabin. This is a favorite hang-out in the summertime! At the end of the day enjoy the best food in Fannin County at the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant located less than a mile from the cabin. In fact, you could take a nice stroll to the restaurant, enjoy the good food, music, and scenery of the Toccoa River.

Every bedroom on each level has a covered porch right outside the french doors so that as you awaken each morning and enjoy your coffee while breathing in the intoxicating fresh mountain air, you can be inspired to plan your day's adventure and recreation, either on the Toccoa River or on the nearby hiking trails. Antique shopping in Blue Ridge is less than 10 miles away.
