Buckhorn Lodge is conveniently located between Blue Ridge and Blairsville,
at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Buckhorn Lodge is
a private, luxurious retreat, reminiscent of an old English Hunting
Lodge, and built on what is believed to be formerly occupied Cherokee
Indian hunting lands. It is well appointed with all the modern
conveniences so you can leave everything behind, yet vacation in
luxury.
Picture yourself and your family sitting on one of the rockers
or swings under the wrap around porch, watching the deer play in
the meadow below, or observe the trout ponds to your right. In
the distance, you can see for miles and miles the North Carolina
mountain ridge. Our guests will enjoy spectacular views. Listen
to the sound of the cascading stream running below. You might even
try your luck at panning for gold. You are at peace as nature envelops
you in this picturesque setting where you can take advantage of

Buckhorn Lodge is wonderfully roomy at approximately 2800 square
feet of luxury. The four bedrooms with sleeping loft, three baths,
and living areas on three levels can comfortably sleep 12 people.
Located on the main level is a large dining area. The Great Room
with dramatic fireplace and four foot antler light fixture present
the perfect gathering spot after a day of white water rafting,
hiking, or fly fishing. With soaring vaulted ceilings, this cozy
interior is elegantly appointed with a large sectional sofa, oversized
leather and wing-backed chairs. The furnishings and art work are
exquisite and reflect the genuine feel of a mountain lodge. The
gourmet kitchen has stainless appliances and is fully equipped
for the most discerning chef. The private and spacious master bedroom
is also located on the main floor along with full bath and laundry
room.
Upstairs is a suite as large as the master with a king bed. A smaller
bedroom hosts a queen bed. The expansive loft overlooking the Great
Room consists of a rustic queen lodge pole bed and a library with
over 100 books for your reading pleasure, along with two over-stuffed
chairs for reading and relaxing. This level also contains a full
bath.
The terrace level area brings you to a fun and exciting part of
the lodge and features "Buckskin Joe's Saloon". Straight
out of the old west, it features a full size wet bar with a sink,
dishwasher, a microwave, and small refrigerator. No saloon would
be without a pool and poker table. From the bar, mosey on over
to the "State of the Art" movie room. Incredible sights
and sounds with crystal-clear pictures, earth shaking bass and
surround-sound to rival the movie theater experience. If that wasn't
enough, this level boasts a bunk room and a full bath.
The outdoor living area is simply an extension of the social area
inside and is extended with a screened grilling porch, and an eight-person
hot tub located on a separate, covered deck.
